I came across this site a couple of weeks ago. I have idependently reached the same conclusion as the managers of this site. Nostradamus did not make these prophesies, but was given them.
I observed that the prophesies are targeted not just at general readers but also at specific individuals. The 'author' knows in advance that the specific individuals will read the almanacs/quatrains either before or after the event.
I will even go further and say that some events are given to allow that individual the choice of not making a mistake, and allowing the reader to change their fate.
Examples of statements that are individual, From the almanac of 1555:
Denis (drops anchor), fleet delays, does not remain silent,
Has not known the secret, and by which you are amused!
From Century 2, Quatrain 13
The body without soul no longer to be sacrificed:
Day of death put for birthday:
The divine spirit will make the soul happy,
Seeing the word in its eternity.
Perhaps the most personal is Quatrain 33 from Century 4;
Jupiter joined more to Venus than to the Moon
Appearing with white fullness:
Venus hidden under the whiteness of Neptune,
Struck by Mars through the white stew.
This quatrain doesn't mention any event. It does however give three dates. The person who works this out will have access to astronomy data or a visual display. Who is going to make the link and with what? If I was to state I know the dates through astronomy software and a specific personal knowledge of other quatrains, could any body else find an alternative?
Who is the Author of the Quatrains? A statement has already been made that the author may be french. I think the author is also probably jewish.
In Quatrain 72 of Century 5, the statement is made that, the law of the great Messiah shall rule through the sun.' Messiah - saviour of people, saviour of the jews? Nostradamus was from a Jewish background.
Did this 'time lord' and his followers help Moses and the Israilites out of Egypt. I notice that book two of The Bible Code says that 'time machine' can be found in the Torah.
Time - How does it run? How far back can you go without destroying your own future? Is the later statement a dysfunctional view of time when time may have properties as amazing as light; e.g. No matter how fast you travel, light will always be propagating away from you at the speed of light.
Perhaps an individual or group of individuals by going back in time have generated a 'Ground Hog Day', where apart from a few the rest are passively playing their game without realising it.Sunday, January 2nd 2005 - 03:56:30 AM
